ABOUT ME

Profile picture of Anna Cope.

I work with individual adults and couples. I graduated with a Diploma in Counselling from the Minster Centre in 2016 and subsequently gained an MA in Psychotherapy from the Minster Centre in 2019.

I have experience working in the NHS with people with severe psychiatric presentations, and running therapeutic groups. I have also worked for the Minster Centre's Low-Cost Therapy Service, and spent two years as a counsellor and intake assessor at the East London Out Project (ELOP).

Using an integrative, relational style of therapy, I build an approach which is tailored to meet the unique requirements of each individual client and couple. Although the work is predominantly talking based, I always incorporate the body as a way of accessing deeply held emotions.

I have specialist interests in developmental trauma, relationality, gender, sexuality, shame, couples work and psychosexual issues.

I am a BACP registered and UKCP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a private practice in Clapton, north-east London.
